Injury Recovery

If you have an injury at work which is stopping you from working, then you may be looking for ways to get back to work quickly. Many people actually return to work so soon because they are worried about their finances.
The problem is that sick pay is just basic. If you often get on call money, bonuses, commission and overtime, then you will miss out on these if you are off sick. If you are on a long term sick leave, then you may even be put on to statutory sick pay, which is likely to be a much lower rate than you normally get paid. This could lead to problems.
There are people who manage on low incomes. However, if you have a mortgage or other debts to pay off, then you will need to find the money to do this. You may also have a large house and therefore larger bills to pay. It can all become extremely worrying.
This is why many people choose to make an accident at work compensation claim. You can only go ahead with this if you did not cause the accident yourself. If you can get a solicitor to prove that it was due to the negligence of the company, then you can not only get compensation to pay you for your injury, but you will also get money to cover any expenses that you have incurred as a result of the injury. This could make a big differences to your finances.
Hopefully by doing this, you will not feel the urge to get back to work so very quickly. You will be able to make sure that you are fully recovered from your injury before you go back to work. It will mean that you make a better recovery and you do not risk having a relapse because you do too much, too soon.
