There are many kinds of electrician and they come in a variety of specialization. An outside lineman would have a hard time doing the inside lineman's work that is called field of specialization. An electrician that specializes in a residential electrical system is called a residential electrician.
A residential electrician would not be allowed to do high voltage transmission lines. But wiring complicated switches like four way switches is his specialization. A residential lineman has a wider field of work he works on different location going to one residence to the other. He can do electrical system from a trailer park to huge mansions of the rich and famous. He is responsible in making a home cozy and elegant with his knowledge and ability he turns an empty, boring place into a nice livable home. He is the most sought after in terms of residential lighting effects it could be for the interior lighting and outside lighting facilities making garden and patio look like a resort.
